She made a name for herself in the groundbreaking sketch comedy show In Living Color. Today, Ali Wentworth stars and executive produces Pop TV’s Nightcap. We talk to the actress-comedian-producer about her marriage, celebrity entitlement, and her experience working with legends in the industry.

Wentworth details the differences between doing comedy today as opposed to what it was like during her In Living Color days. “What’s happening in our world right now, you can’t say anything . . . everything is scrutinized. There is so much hate. You could never make fun the way we did back then.”

We asked her to give us to her thoughts on the growing controversy over the infamous photo showcasing comedian Kathy Griffin with the fake bloodied, severed head of President Donald Trump. “Fist of all, it had to be funny. You can get away with a lot if it’s funny . . . I think it was a misread on her part.”
