Durian Introducing The King of Fruits & How To Crack It Open (Part 1)
It is a tradition that every time Aiman's sister Amira returned home, his dad would treat her to a delicacy of durian (along with sticky rice pulut and coconut gravy). In this video, Aiman introduces the exotic Durian a.k.a The King of Fruits. While many Southeast Asians swear that durian tastes like heaven, some especially westerners consider it foul smells like hell, but of couse one is entitled to his or her opinions. Despite its popularity, because of the intolerable smell to the naysayers, durian has been banned in many confined places such as airplanes, taxis, hotels and tour buses.
The outer skin of durian has spikes and are very sharp. Aiman demonstrated the sharpness of the spikes by using a pluot and a mango. He also shows us how to handle and cut open the durian to get the edible fruits from the inside out.
