While Iraqi forces were advancing into Old Mosul, Iraqi fighters from the army’s second regiment said they found a one-year-old boy alone amid the rubble of a school in Bab Sinjar, according to a video shared by the regiment on June 18.Video posted by the regiment shows soldiers washing the child. The speakers in the video say the boy is one and a half years old and that he has not eaten for days. The video was shot in the Hadbaa boys school, where the soldiers say many people were recently killed.The soldiers also describe how the child’s mother and grandfather were among the dead, though how these individuals were identified is not clear.
