Kim Kardashian on Blackface Accusation: I Was Really Tan

Even Kim Kardashian isn’t immune to blackface accusations.
Yep, the reality star has finally responded to critics who say she darkened her skin in an advert for her new makeup line, saying she was just really tan when the photos were taken.
Kim posted shots to her Twitter to promote her new business venture, KKW Beauty, and in the photos she was seen modeling a highlighter and bronzer – but not everyone was impressed.
Fans accused her of darkening the color of her skin so she told the New York Times that she would obviously never want to offend anyone, adding that she used an amazing photographer and a team of people, and admitting that the contrast was off. But she showed the images to many people in the business and no one brought it to her attention.
She went on to explain that she understands why some fans were upset and she insists the issue has now been fixed.
Oddly enough, fans are also accusing her of muscling in on her sister Kylie Jenner’s lucrative lipgloss business too.
Guess it’s just hard to please everybody.
