eBay takes on Amazon with price-matching feature

If you're online shopping, eBay wants you to know that they will match any competitor's price. According to a report from The Verge, the online retailer and auction site announced Wednesday that it will start price-matching items under its eBay Deals section. A few caveats: price-matching is only available to US residents, the item has to be in stock and identical. Among the sites eBay will match are Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, Jet.com, HomeDepot.com, Sears.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, and Wayfair.com. Disclaimer:The deal doesn't apply to auction items. Shoppers have to find the lower priced items on one of those sites and send it to eBay. Once eBay verifies the information, you'll receive a coupon making up the difference to be used in purchasing the item. All of this is part of eBay's plan to make up ground against Amazon.
