Case of 34 Burmese National in Kolkata

34 Arakanese and Karen were brought from Andaman Island to Kolkata for further prosecution and trial by Indian authorities in early of November. They were apprehended by Indian security forces in Andaman Island on 9th Feb 1998 during Operation Leech. After they were produced to the lower Court in Portblair, the Capital town of Andaman Island, then they were sent to the Judicial Custody. Now they are facing the trial in Kolkata.
