ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani once again said on Tuesday that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probe will be incomplete without the statement of Qatri Royal, ARY News reported.

Speaking to reporters immediately after the arrival of Hussain Nawaz at the JIT secretariat, Kirmani railed against the JIT for not traveling to Doha to record Qatari royal’s statement, saying, “Justice will not be served unless the JIT goes to Qatar.”

He said Qatari royal asked the JIT members to send questionnaire yet it wasn’t sent. Refusing to send the questionnaire wasn’t the contempt of court, he asked. “What is it restraining the JIT from visiting Qatar? Has it got mehndi applied on its feet precluding it from travelling,” he continued.

A day before Kirmani had accused the JIT of acting in a partisan manner and said that it has failed to achieve the objective the Supreme Court had appointed it for. “JIT is working beyond its mandate. It has taken a U-turn,” he claimed while begging for justice for the first family.
