Kelly Clarkson had the perfect response to a body-shaming hater on Twitter who decided to, very uncreatively, take a shot at her weight on Twitter.
A Twitter user plainly told Clarkson, “you’re fat.” Like… Way to go and put a lot of cleverness into that one. Anyways, Clarkson was quick on her keyboard, and replied “and still fucking awesome.”
Clarkson’s response won her a ton of support on Twitter, with fans singing her praises and saying “seriously, miserable people tweet others calling them fat. Bet Cliff couldn’t carry a tune to save his life.”
And Clarkson couldn’t be less phased from the criticism. She told Ellen DeGeneres in 2015, “I love how people think that’s new – like, ‘welcome to the past 13 years’… It’s like, you’re just who you are. We are who we are. Whatever size, and it doesn’t mean that we’re gonna be that forever.”
Clarkson’s right, she can always lose weight, but that some people will always just be haters.
