Honda gave us a chance to spend a day on their new 450 motocrosser, the CRF450R. New for 2018 is electric start as standard equipment (it was offered as a kit on the 2017 model), stiffer fork and shock springs, a new engine map in mode 1 (standard) for more ridable power (they tried to take out some initial abruptness from closed to a quarter open throttle), and neg engine mounts to give some more flex (but not as much as the 450RX mounts give).
