by Jeff DonlanA Chinese energy company is designing solar farms in the shape of giant panda bears to promote renewable energy.Panda Green Energy Group built this1,500 acre, 50-megawatt plant to power the northern province of Shaanxi.  The company claims one of its solar plants will cut greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 3 million metric tons over 25 years.One hundred more of these panda-shaped farms are for planned China and beyond. It’s part of the Belt and Road initiative, an ambitious Chinese policy to invest in countries along the historic Silk Road that links Asia to Europe and Africa.So the message from China seems to be that whether it comes to money or pandas…flaunt it if you got it.
