Head of Boy Scouts apologizes for Trump's speech

On Monday, President Donald Trump spoke at the 2017 National Boy Scout Jamboree. Despite agreeing to not speak about politics, the president did so anyway. Today, Chief Scout Executive Michael Surbaugh, the head of the Boy Scouts of America, had to issue an apology. I want to extend my sincere apologies to those in our Scouting family who were offended by the political rhetoric that was inserted into the jamboree. That was never our intent. We sincerely regret that politics were inserted into the Scouting program.
