iMashup - Mashup Remix App

Wikipedia\r
Mashup (music)\r
A mashup or bootleg (also mesh, mash up, mash-up, blend, and bastard pop/rock) is a song or composition created by blending two or more pre-recorded songs, usually by overlaying the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the instrumental track of another. To the extent that such works are transformative of original content, they may find protection from copyright claims under the fair use doctrine of copyright law.\r
Synonyms\r
Mashups are known by a number of different names:\r
Bootlegs (mostly in Europe), Boots (but not Booty which is a branch of Electro), Mash-ups, Mashed hits, Smashups (or Smash-Ups), Bastard pop (as in the combined songs are unofficial; this term is rarely used any more), Cutups (or cut ups, a term originally coined by William S. Burroughs to describe some of his literary experiments that involved literally cutting up different texts and rearranging the pieces to create a new piece.)\r
Powermixing (usually the pace has to be speeded up to allow for more song to be played and thus cannot play any single blend for the full length of the song)\r
Crossovers, but it is in a form of mashup, or version vs. version.\r
In addition, more traditional terms such as edits or (unauthorized) remixes are favored by many bootleggers (also known as leggers).\r
History\r
The price of assembling new songs from purloined elements of other tracks stretches back to the beginnings of recorded music. If one extends the definition beyond the realm of pop, precursors can be found in musique concrète, as well as the classical price of (re-)arranging traditional folk material and the jazz tradition of reinterpreting standards. In addition, many elements of mashup culture have antecedents in hip hop and the DIY ethic of punk as well as overlap with the free culture movement.\r

My Review\r
This was the Wikipedia definition. There are some words that I already knew, but if somebody asks for the definition. (at best) a big doubt. (at worst) a cavernous gap. So, I decided to start my review with the Wikipedia definition. So, now I can say that iMashup is a Killer Mashup App! When you launch iMashup and start discovering it, your first impressions should be something like this. \r
Wahoo! Very, very, (the number of very depends of you.) Pro! Yes, when you start to use this App, add and drag points on a Segment for example, the fluidity of the App is really impressive. The second feelings should run something like this.\r
And so easy to use.. Yes, open an existing Project or create a new one by importing up to 2 tracks from your Music Library, analyse the tempo (if needed), split your tracks (if needed), copy and paste a new Segment (do it, just to see the nice animation.), add Volume and EQ points adjust the tracks tempo, Save your project and Share it. iMashup is without any doubt a Killer App!\r
I would like to add 2 things however. \r
First: By taping on the Info button I discovered 2 things: Both Mac OS and Windows versions are available. Ok, thats cool, but I also discovered that this developer team has also released another App called Mixed in Key for these 2 platform. Check out The Other picture on this post. I definitely want it on my iPad!!!\r
Secondly, is that Im not a DJ. For this reason, my Music library is usually empty. As a musician, songwriter, I would really love to use it for my personal work. Its so great to work on a song structure, lyrics (William S. Burroughs), and more. So, just for me, could you add an AudioCopy / Paste feature (pretty please. ;-)
