Southlake Carroll's Chris Tracht was attempting to run a T44 1500m world record Saturday at the Texas Distance Festival. The attempt was made while running the full 1600m. By our clock, Tracht was just off the world record running about 4:37 for 1500m. His final 1600m time was 4:53 which was a new PR. Chris will have another shot at the T44 world record later this year at the Wellness -UCO Endeavor Games and possibly during the Schrader Mile.
