Launch of Heavy Ariane 5 Rocket with Intelsat 37e & BSAT-4a (VA-239)

The mighty Ariane 5 roared into the skies tonight after lifting off from it's launch pad in Kourou, French Guiana at 21:56 UTC, September 29th 2017. The 54 meter tall rocket placed the Intelsat 37e and BSAT-4a satellites into geosynchronous orbit. This was the 5th Ariane 5 launch of 2017 and the 95th overall, the previous launch attempt of this mission was scrubbed after engine ignition due to an electrical issue in a solid rocket booster.
