In its new Cocoa Promise Report, Cargill is laying out a clear pathway to a sustainable cocoa supply chain. In the five years since the Cocoa Promise, the company’s overarching sustainability commitment for the sector, was launched, Cargill and its farmer partners have made significant progress. Among other highlights, more than 145,000 farmers were trained on sustainability and good agricultural practices. In Côte d’Ivoire alone, 62,000 farmers have benefited from one-to-one coaching.
