Why tourists should stay in their cars when lions are about
- 7 years ago
Video has emerged of a lion suddenly rearing up and roaring at schoolchildren trying to take its picture at a national park in South Africa.
In the video, filmed in 2013 at Kruger National Park, children can be seen taking photographs of a lion and its mate out of a car window, which has been wound down.
Then all of a sudden the lion looks up and roars, startling the children.
Writes the filmer: "During school holidays people are very relaxed when visiting parks. This video shows how children were nearly attacked by a lion while they were hanging out of a car's window to take some pictures."
