Armand "Mondo" Duplantis earned his nickname as a seven-year-old, when he set his first age group world record in the pole vault. Now, the 17-year-old Lafayette, Louisiana native owns world age group records for 7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, 11-, 12- and 17-year-olds; at the Texas Relays this year, his 5.90m PB demolished the world junior record. He's defeated 2015 world champion Shawn Barber and Rio Olympic gold medalist Thiago Braz da Silva. The son of former pro pole vaulter and record setter Greg Duplantis will represent his mother's native Sweden at the senior level IAAF World Championships in London this summer. Did we mention he's a junior in high school?
