Dog and hedgehog have a prickly relationship
These two pets get off to a prickly start with the dog having a nervous reaction to a new hedgehog.
Five-year-old pooch ‘Goo’ had been sitting on the ground after being introduced to pet hedgehog Hana.
But the welcome didn’t go to the plan and a curious Goo tries to investigate her - but she leaps into the air every time Hana ventures too close.
Footage of the tense meeting and Goo’s started reaction went viral after owner Harikai Chiri recorded it at her home in Nagasaki, Japan, on April 26.
She said: ‘’Goo was very nervous around Hana at first. She was sniffing the hedgehog and interested, but terrifed every time they came to close.
‘’They have got used to each other a little bit more but it’s not a cuddly relationship. Hana likes to spend time with hedgehogs and Goo is happiest outside.’'
