Buttermilk Pie - The Hillbilly Kitchen

A traditional southern pie with a unique flavor all its own. Its simple to make and a favorite among country people. My granny always made this pie just for me. I was her pick of the litter, so I got special treatment :)\r

You can serve this pie hot or cold, fancy looking or just plain country looking. If you have family or friends who have never tasted Buttermilk Pie, then treat them to a cut of it. Theyll love you for it!\r

Ingredients:\r

1 to 2 cups - Sugar (You decide how sweet you want it)\r
1/2 cup - Melted real butter\r
3 tablespoons - All purpose flour\r
3 - Eggs\r
1/4 teaspoon - Salt\r
1 teaspoon - Vanilla extr\r
1 cup - Buttermilk\r
A 9 inch deep dish pie crust or make your own \r

If you want to make it fancy top it with some caramel sauce \r
and some fresh whipped cream \r
