Rallye Car Handbrake Turn Saves Dog's Life

A rally driver in Portugal nearly wiped out in order to save the little dog who wandered into his path.
Competing in the Portuguese Constalica Rallye Vouzela, the rally driver suddenly crossed paths with a dog. In a split-second decision, he was able to turn his car, giving the dog a chance to run away.
Dogs have often wandered into the rally's path. In an earlier rally, a dog was nearly run over before being saved by a bump in the road.
Cats may have nine lives, but some of these dogs have at least two.
