This local entrepreneur made a small fortune selling cleaning products on late night television and with his earnings built this elegant cottage in the woods. He remained a bachelor all his life and would host large parties at his estate. Guests would drive out to the country to an unmarked meandering gravel road where they would then continue one full mile into the woods. Swimming, dancing, and lots of beer were the norm. The mans home features a 3rd story lookout room where he could watch over his guests or just meditate on any given afternoon. When he died at the age of 84 he donated his land and house to the state parks system and it is now open for the public to enjoy (you cannot enter the house). The house remains exly the same as when he inhabited it; clothes in the closets, medical and financial documents, toothbrush and toothpaste in the medicine cabinet. Definitely a unique explore.
