Impressions from a walking-tour through the Wilhelma. The Wilhelma is a zoo in Stuttgart, Germany. It is Europes largest combined zoological and botanical garden and is home to more than 9,000 animals and countless exotic plants from over 5,000 different species. The Wilhelma was built as a palace of King Wilhelm I of Württemberg in 1842 in Moorish style. Many buildings and gardens from that era are still preserved.\r
