Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan is perhaps the last nayak of Patiala school of singing. He has a sweet voice and his style is a blend of modern as well as traditional classical based singing. He sings effortlessly like his elders especially Asad Amanat Ali Khan and Ustad Amanat Ali Khan. Here hes singing a song of Mehdi Hassan in his own way. Originally it was penned by Masroor Anwar for Film Saiqa under the veteran composer Nisar Bazmi. Shafqat is not to be compared with Great Mehdi Hassan but he did apply some innovative little touches and expressions in the song to make it listen worth a while. More at www.facebook.com/Mauseeqi
