December’s night sky will give us several celestial gifts to view and enjoy. On December 3rd a Supermoon will occur. According to mnn.com, “at approximately 3:45am EST, the full moon will become a super moon at perigee, or the or the point in its orbit when it is closest to Earth.” There will also be a Geminids meteor shows on December 13th and 14th. There will be 120 to 160 shooting stars every hour when the shower occurs.
