Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed's appointment as the Chairman of Proton Holdings Bhd is positive for DRB-HICOM Bhd. According to Public Invest Research, Mahathir's appointment would path the way in transforming the national car maker which had been losing market share to Perodua and non-national marques in the recent years.
