High Winds to Hamper California Firefighters Through Weekend

On Friday, thousands of firefighters battled expanding wildfires in the Southern California front, as they fires have raged for five days and destroyed at least 500 structures. The National Weather Service on Friday forecasts that gusty winds will continue to drive the conflagrations throughout the weekend. Almost 200,000 Californians have been chased away from their homes, as more than 5,700 firefighters battled six large wind-stoked fire since Monday.
