JOTA ERRE, musician from Abreu Lima, Pernambuco, is a 32 years old music producer, vocalist, drummer, percussionist. JOTA is from a family of professional musicians.
From childhood he was involved with true Brazilian popular music made by great artists as Joao Bosco, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and others.
In 2002, age 21, moved to Sao Paulo. Touring as a member of Orquestra Mundana, JOTA played in Brazil, France with Badi Assad, Fanta Konate and Sami Bordokan. For two years on Sambazz tour, he performed in Brazil and USA.
Founded the band Patuá Tronxo with Jesse, composing Brazilian sonorities in odd measures.
He joined for four years Grooveria Eletroacustica musical collective founded by Tuto Ferraz.
Jota Erre played with ChoraMundo a tour in Middle East and North Africa. Cohesion and coherence translate profusion of creativity and compositions of this partnership, also permeates the first authorial project by JOTA 'Por Extenso' (2012) and second work 'Binário' (2016).
JOTA ERRE performed in England, Portugal, Spain, and set jams with artists who shared musical trips, potential partnerships and new musical experiences. 'Binário' was also released internationally, with a concert in South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas (USA).
'Binário' is second album of JOTA ERRE.
The title of this project is a reference to the rhythm produced by our own percussive organ: the heart, which is represented vital function of pulses and also in symbolic form, which is love.
Binário rescues this preciousness of handcraft and the heart is an essential part of this recovery.
The nuances of love are composed in partnership with JOTA ERRE and Jesse Santo.
Bases in jazz, pop and rock by Portuguese bassist Bernardo Fesch, integrates 'Binário'.
'IN' is composed by Jota Erre-Jesse Santo-Paulo Cesar Carvalho.
