19 Year old Kizzy from Merthyr, has had an exciting 12 months, she signed to award winning publishers BDi Music, played at many festivals including Glastonbury, Cheltenham Jazz, BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Festival No 6, L'Orient Festival, Dinefwr, Cornbury, Womex, SWN, The Prince Edward Islands in Canada, her debut single 'The Starling' received support from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and BBC Radio Wales (where she was artist of the week) and she performed live twice for BBC Radio 4 and more recently on The Verb for the BBC Radio 3 ‘Young Artist Day’ programme. Kizzy also supported Newton Faulkner, Gruff Rhys and more recently, she performed alongside Cerys Matthews at Westminster. Kizzy was also selected as one of 12 Horizons Cymru acts via BBC Wales which led to several festival slots over the last year including a live session at BBC Maida Vale. Recent festivals include How The LIght Gets In, Acoustic Fest of Britain, BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and upcoming festivals include Watchet, Towersey, National Eisteddfod and Kuckucksheim Open Air Festival, Germany. Kizzy'a new single Pili Pala (Butterfly) will be released on 03 August.
