Hailing from the vibrant music lover’s paradise in Austin, Texas, this four-piece indie rock outfit has managed to combine elements of electronic, rock, and subtle melodies to create something unique, fun, and vibrant, leaving you with that feeling of wanting more.
The band’s inspiration comes from learning new styles, taking on challenges, and setting goals. Each song is constructed like a puzzle and each piece has its place and purpose. “The Dirty Heat” brings new and desirable aspects to their songwriting and it is truly seen in the delivery.
What began as childhood friends who shared a love for music grew into writing and creating what they knew would someday be something special! With the addition of excellent musicians to this ensemble, the band has taken strides to provide an audience with exactly who “The Dirty Heat” is.
“The Invention of Flight,” the band's debut album, combines a collection of ideas spanning some years, which echoes the sentiment – “comfort rarely accompanies progress.”
The authenticity and emotive derived in the music is quite evident and it not only tells a story but takes you on a journey to something modern, entertaining and powerful. Taking the long road to success is challenging; as they say, it is not how it is measured but how it has evolved. For “The Dirty Heat” this is the first of many stepping-stones, because doing what you love never has its limits
