With their first two CD’s „frisch vom Laund“ and „koid serviert“ the music group „Opfekompott“ has developed themselves to one of the most popular „Mostviertler” bands, which they especially show in their live performances.
A mix between Folk, Rock, Jazz, Blues and a little country music harmonizes with their „Voralpen“-area dialect, which the band presents authentic, fancy and impressive.
The band tells jokey stories of their hometown. Their songs and lyrics, on the one hand, are about closed pubs „Unser Wirthaus“, foolish women „Narrische Vroni“, hunters „A Jaga“, a look outside the kitchen window „Kuchlfenster“, and generally about life in the countryside „Mia san vom Laund“.
Their latest album „Voi gsund“ represents the band’s diversity in lyrics and music, show up socio-critical and political topics but still focus on their own life. Among other things, they describe hard work in the woods, mistaken development in the agriculture, what kind of sport people from the „Mostviertel“ enjoy most or what their New Year's resolutions are.
