Acoustic duo ‘Ladies’ have announced the followup to their successful debut maxi ‘Oh Suzi’. The new track entitled ‘Leaning On Someone’s Shoulder’ is an audio culmination of the band’s meticulous honing of their sound since their first single.
Focusing on the relationship between the acoustic guitar and vocals, their new track complimentarily reflects this intimacy through the lyrical content - a depiction of an intense experience by vocalist ‘Sung-Jun’ of an unfulfilled love that eventually results in a confession. The intentionally minimal textures are contrasted with the dynamic arrangements of the aforementioned dualism of the singer and guitarist, reinforcing musical quality rather than quantity.
‘Ladies’ have already put forth an LP ‘It’s Real’ last winter, and are now working to release their sophomore album by 2015.

2013년 6월 첫 싱글 음반 ‘oh suzi'를 발표후 꾸준한 음반 발매와 수많은 공연 무대를 통해 폭넓은 매니아층을 형성한 어쿠스틱 듀오 레이디스의 ’누군가의 어깨에 기대
지난 겨울 발매한 ‘it's real'에 이어 어쿠스틱 듀오로서의 특징을 극대화해 어쿠스틱 기타와 보컬의 조합만으로 이루어졌다. ‘누군가의 어깨에 기대’는 사랑하는 이에 대한 안타까운 사랑을 담고 있으며 결국 고백으로 이어지는 보컬 ‘성준’의 과거 경험에서 비롯된 곡이다. 미니멀한 구성과 달리 4분에 가까운 시간동안 다양한 패턴의 연주와 보컬의 조합으로 전혀 지루할 틈 없이 꽉 채워진 이 곡은 어쿠스틱 음반의 정수로 불리울만 하다.
새로운 형태의 음반을 준비하며 다가올 2015년을 준비하고 있는 레이디스는 최근 아시아 국제 청소년 영화제의 주제가에 참여 및 드라마 ost의 참여 등 대중에게로 다가갈 끊임없는 준비를 하고 있다.
이 겨울 ‘누군가의 어깨에 기대’를 통해 따스한 겨울의 감성을 느낄수 있길 기대해본다.
