DOMINI FORSTER
Melbourne singer-songwriter Domini Forster charms audiences with her whimsical brand of indie folk. Her trio combines harp-like ukulele riffs, percussion, glockenspiel and rich vocal harmonies, along with touches of melodica and toy piano. Against this playful chamber pop palette, Domini's intimate and often surprisingly dark lyrics catch the audience off guard and create a blend that is beautifully bittersweet. Her tunes have pricked the ears of many in the music industry, most recently leading to a national tour supporting renowned Australian singer-songwriter Lior, as well as the chance to sing a duet with him at the Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Domini's debut EP 'Little Dreamer' was released in August 2013. Recorded amidst the wacky and wonderful chaos of Northcote's Soundpark Studios with producer/engineer Tony Buchen (Lior, Washington, Tim Finn), this acoustic-driven EP showcases Domini's evocative lyrics and distinctive 'miniature orchestral' arrangements..
