Formed in early June, Cramptown Spaces have become a well-known band across Portlaoise and Laois. The band consists of 4 people, Conor Finnegan, Eoin Laffere, Jordan Hearns and Eamon Dunne. Cramptown cover a wide variety of Indie including Two Door Cinema Club, Foals, Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes, The Strokes, The Wombats and Vampire Weekend. The lads have also started writing songs with Number 1 single in over 18 countries; "Quotes" being recorded in Clique Recording Studios with Jason Boland in July 2011.
Over the past few Months, the lads have played many gigs in places like Kavanaghs, The Square Bar, The Heritage Hotel, The Killeshin Hotel and APA. Summer 2011 looks busy for the lads, with many gigs already lined up and are planning a very speacial headine gig in Portlaoise sometime over summer. So keep an eye out around here, Twitter and around Portlaoise for some information. :)
