Billy has been a constant on the music scene since coming back to live in his native Cork in 1997. After a spell in London with indie rock band Godot he moved to Dublin where he teamed up with vocalist Taly Murphy. The two regularly played Whelan's and The Baggot Inn, and had a Wednesday night residency in the Beal Bocht. In 1998 they formed The Horsies. The band released the single 'Being There. The song received national airplay and the accompanying video was aired on RTE2's No Disco. For four years Billy ran the 'Under The Lamp' open mic night in Charlie's Bar, Union Quay. The intimate atmosphere of the bar created a wonderful platform where only original material could be performed. A CD was released in 2006 featuring 15 of the regular artists. 2011 saw the release of Billy's first solo offering '25 Ways' a three track EP. This June Billy releases his first full length album 'This Old Life' which contains 10 tracks.
