Beautiful male kudu antelope lock horns in Kruger National Park

With their beautiful twisting horns, the two kudu clash for several minutes to try to establish dominance.

Both animals normally walk away unharmed from such fights but occasionally their horns become caught in such a way that they can't disengage. When this happens, the antelope often die from dehydration or starvation.
