Authenticity because when travelling abroad, people want to get a real taste of local life. You are unlikely to experience this 'sense of place' when you book a hotel full of impersonal rooms, tourists and trained hospitality staff.
And Flexibility because for the duration of their stay it is their home and they are often closer to where they wish to be.
