In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Bethenny Frankel's estranged mother, Bernadette Birk, has slammed her daughter for suing her ex-husband for full custody of their child.

"I don't know him," Birk told Radar about Frankel's ex, Jason Hoppy, 47. "But from what I have seen, he seems nice. My ex-husband has met him twice and he told me that he was nice and seems like a good man."

"I can't understand why she would fight for full custody. She's not a very good mother. In my experience, she's not a very giving person."

Last week, Frankel, 47, reportedly filed a lawsuit against Jason Hoppy to gain custody of their 7-year-old daughter, Bryn. The couple finally settled a nasty divorce in July 2016, more than three years after they first split.

But the drama didn't end there. Hoppy, 47, was arrested in January 2017 on stalking and aggravated harassment charges. He struck a plea deal in the case, and it will be dismissed in April if he stays away from Frankel and keeps his nose clean.

"That was dismissed," she said. "And from my understanding, he was just trying to see his child."

Frankel has been public about her longtime estrangement from her mother. She claimed her mother "was always drinking," and argued violently with her stepfather.

After 15 years apart, Birk told Radar she doesn't see a reconciliation happening with her daughter — ever.

"There is no possibility we will ever see each other again. She never reached out to me. Never. And she won't," she continued.

"I used to be upset. There was a grieving process. But I've since completely let go. It's like now, I had a daughter who died."

Birk hinted at wanting to see her granddaughter Bryn, but acknowledged the complications that would come with it.

"I don't know how that's possible without having to go through Bethenny and having to interact with her. That won't ever happen."

Away from the spotlight, Birk said she spends most of her time in Florida volunteering.
