Peak District town cut off by heavy snow

All but one of the major routes out of the the Peak District town of Buxton were closed today (December 29) due to heavy snow.

Snow fell across much of northern England and the southern Pennines, causing road closures, according to reports.

The Met Office issued a yellow warning for ice in Scotland and northern England on Saturday.

Writes the filmer: "The snow is particularly heavy over the higher ground, such as in the town of Buxton. At one point all but one of the major routes out of Buxton were closed."
