The Weeknd Cuts Ties With H&M For Racist Sweatshirt

The Weeknd is cutting ties with H&M after it advertised a sweatshirt in a way that many called out for being racist. The brand recently published an ad with a black boy wearing a sweatshirt that said "coolest monkey in the jungle." It apologized on Monday and removed the item from its US website. In response, Canadian singer The Weeknd, who collaborated with H&M to launch two collections in 2017, said that he will no longer be working with the brand.
