News Feed Announcement CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Thursday night that the social network will begin prioritizing "meaningful social interactions" versus "relevant content." We think that we're currently slightly overvaluing how much time people spend on our platform and undervaluing how many meaningful interactions they have with other people Users will see less posts from publishers and businesses and more from friends and family as a result. Zuckerberg admitted that this could lead to less time spent on site by users. Facebook shares fell 4 percent Friday morning following the news.
