A man driving a stolen backhoe has been arrested after taking deputies on a slow-speed pursuit on the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys. The pursuit began on early Tuesday morning when Carl Blahnik dumped boulders on the roadway at the north end of the bridge before taking the backhoe for a dangerous joyride, traveling back and forth on the bridge for 1.5 hour. The pursuit ended when Blahnik drove off the north end of the bridge and was met by deputies who threw spike strips in front of the vehicle. (VIDEO: BNO NEWS/MONROE COUNTY SHERIFF's OFFICE)
