Endangered hawksbill sea turtle tries to give diver a kiss
- 6 years ago
This lucky diver experienced an incredibly close encounter with a turtle off the coast of Thailand.
In the video, filmed in October last year at the popular dive site of White Rock in Koh Tao, a small hawksbill sea turtle turns towards the diver's camera and starts to gently peck at it.
Writes the filmer: "As it swam past me it turned to my camera and started to peck at the camera lens like it was trying to give me little turtle kisses. A very cute and lovely encounter with a turtle."
Hawksbill turtles are critically endangered, with their patterned shells making them valuable.
