Thursday's market wrap

U.S. stocks turned slightly lower on Thursday-- after shedding modest gains from earlier in the day, as bond yields went up and tech shares retreated before their big name earnings sessions.
The Dow Jones went up 36-points or about zero-point-1-5 percent to close at 26,185-point-7,... while the S&P 500 gained two points to 2,825-point-8.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite dropped three points, less than one-tenth-of-a-percent to 7,408-point-2.
Shares in Korea were mixed on Thursday-- with the benchmark KOSPI adding two points to close at 2,568-point-5.
The junior bourse KOSDAQ, however was down by half-a-percent to finish at 908-point-2.
