An Army Captain and three jawans were martyred in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the Line of Control on Sunday afternoon. From the incident it was clear that Pakistan had not used small arms. The Pakistan Army used indirect firing weapons of a higher calibre. Looking at the casualties, it was clear that small arms were not used, an initial assessment of the incident said. The ceasefire violations have been at an all time and these are signs of Pakistan getting desperate, officials say. In 2017, there were 860 ceasefire violations while 271 were reported in 2016. A report of the Intelligence Bureau suggests that the ceasefire violations would go up.
