Hi RC FANS: I finally got a chance to run my HPI E10 drift car, Now I wanted to see how it performed from box to street. But there were a few slight changes made. I did change the tires and wheels but they are still the same size and hard plastic. And I also gave the stock Nimh 2000mah 6 cell pack to my friend John. He was the friend I got the Crawler King for and since the crawler King was his first RC he only had the stock battery for it and stock charger. The same charger and battery that came with my E10. So I gave it to him. But I did still run a 6 cell Nimh but it was a 5000mah pack instead of 2000mah. Besides that it was stock setup and I gotta say this thing is even more fun than it looks!!!! Now the thing is Im a huge motorsport fan and Formula Drift is diffidently one of my favorites! Im a Super Street magazine subscriber and Im even a huge fan of the Anime Initial D.Yep its a anime all about street racing and its surprisingly very realistic if you have never seen it and your a fan of racing, check it out!! But see the problem may be that Im bias towards this aspect of the hobby because drifting intrigues me so much. So as soon as I saw the car slide in the turn and start drifting with that s13 shell on it I fell in love with this aspect of the RC hobby. Now I can honestly say that the 27t motor is not bad, but. the throttle range is limited which means getting into a decent throttle rhythm is not that simple unless your going slow. If your carrying any decent speed than the car will understeer in the turns like nobodies business!! Now I know weather Im a fan or not of the real thing, IM STILL A NEWB when it comes to RC drifting and It will take time, thats fine. Learning how the car res to throttle/brake inputs and steering responses is half the fun. And as seen I am already planning on putting a 20t motor in it. I think itll be more fun to tweak the cars power and handling by little amounts rather than just dropping in a 4000kv brushless motor and being done with it! I,. Like many of you are very passionate about this Hobby and I love taking on new challenges. But another plus is the ridiculous amount of bodies, rims and accessories there are for drift cars!! I love scale rigs and crawlers for the same reason. As you saw I havent had this car very long yet and I already have 3 completely different looks for the car!! But I gotta say if you want a entry level RC drift car I see no problem with the E10.unless you prefer to start with a belt drive setup than I see no problem with the Hpi sprint 2 drift. LoL. But will see cause soon I will be unboxing and testing my Exceed Mad Drift 1/10 drift car and this car was almost 40% cheaper than the E10 so if its as good or even almost as good itll be a better value!!! So stay tuned and dont forget to subscribe and BASH that like button!!! Til next time RC Fans Have fun and Stay safe!
