UN sanctions on Pyongyang seem to be having an impact on the North Korean economy.
Local news agency YTN,... quoting numbers from the Korea Resources Corporation,... reports that the North's mineral resources exports to China last year,... have fallen to less than half what they were the year before.
North Korea exported some 640 million U.S. dollars of mineral resources,... such as nickel, silver and copper,... to China in 2017,... down some eight-hundred million dollars from the previous year.
Coal exports in particular,.... saw a 66-percent percent drop from a year earlier.
