La historia de Yo, Estratosférico nace en la ciudad de Guadalajara, cuando Manu González (batería y percusiones), Óscar Muñoz (bajo), José Salcedo (voz) y Diego Pérez (guitarra) deciden lanzar este proyecto conjunto. En 2015 debutan con su primera demo autoproducida, 1991, recibiendo una muy buena acogida por parte de público y medios de comunicación, tras lo que lanzan su disco de debut en septiembre de ese mismo año, Japonés Hablado, en el que ya dan muestra de su pop rock polifacético que bebe de multitud de fuentes fuera de etiquetas, con letras sinceras y directas, y una clara actitud de romper moldes estilísticos.
Ya en 2016, la banda decide lanzarse a grabar un nuevo LP, y así surge Potencialmente Infinitos, un conjunto de diez nuevas canciones con los enormes riffs de guitarra y las contundentes letras que caracterizan a la banda de Guadalajara. Sin duda, estamos ante el trabajo del grupo más elaborado hasta la fecha, en el que consiguen plasmar la intensidad de sus directos a un trabajo de estudio, con canciones variadas que van desde las más potentes como “Nautilus”, que roza el punk, hasta las más tranquilas como “Noche de reyes”, que se sumerge en vistosas melodías, pasando por canciones crudas y desgarradoras como “Mal de altura”, todo ello sin perder el sonido estratosférico característico de la banda.
Después de una gira que les ha llevado por numerosas ciudades y festivales como Sonorama o Gigante, el cuarteto se prepara para iniciar una nueva etapa llena de nuevas sorpresas.
Yo, Estratosférico started its career in the Spanish city of Guadalajara, when Manu González (drums and percussions), Óscar Muñoz (bass), José Salcedo (vocals) and Diego Pérez (guitar) decided to launch this joint project. In 2015 they made their debut with their first self-produced demo, 1991, receiving a very good welcome from public and media, after which they released their debut album in September of that same year, Japonés Hablado, in which they already show their multifaceted pop rock that drinks from a variety of sources, with sincere and direct lyrics, and a clear attitude of breaking stylistic patterns.
Already in 2016, the band decided to record a new LP, and they launched Potencialmente Infinitos, a set of ten new songs with the huge guitar riffs and the strong lyrics that characterize the band from Guadalajara. Undoubtedly, it is their most elaborate work to date, in which they manage to capture the intensity of their live performances in a studio recording, with varied songs ranging from the most powerful such as "Nautilus" to the quietest ones like "Noche de reyes", that immerses itself in showy melodies, but also through crude and harrowing songs like "Mal de altura", all of them without losing the characteristic stratospheric sound of the band.
After a tour that has taken them through many cities and festivals like Sonorama or Gigante, the band is preparing to start a new era full of new surprises.
