This unlucky python picked the wrong farm to raid - it had three pet rottweillers that were waiting to attack it.
The 14ft long snaked slithered into the yard next to pig pens at the property in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on February 11.
But the large black dogs spotted the serpent and made light work of catching it as they repeatedly sank their teeth into its scales.
Villagers rushed over and called the police who arrived and helped to rescue the python and put it into a bag away from the dogs.
Police officer Khun Weerawat said: ''We were informed at around noon about a snake near the houses in a small village.
''We arrived and it looked like the snake had a bit of bad luck with the dogs. If I tell you the truth, I'm not sure if I was scared of the python or the dogs more.''
The police put the injured python in the back of a pick-up truck and drove it to local vets where it was treated for cuts before being released back into the wild.
