For the Cannes Film Festival screening in 2014, director Kanu Behl and producer Dibakar Banerjee cut a grim, intense trailer for their film Titli. In this interview, they explain why they've now come out with a livelier, more darkly humorous trailer which they feel reflects the film's themes better. They also discuss the marketing of 'festival films' and the emergence of a new cinephile audience in the country. Behl's film is about a young man in east Delhi who longs to escape the clutches of his two car-jacking brothers and his manipulative father.
