Colorado was the first US state to fully legalise cannabis. In 2014, 45% of marijuana in the state was consumed via edibles. Companies like Dixie Elixirs are how hoping to sell their products across America.
Regulation has helped to build a new market by building trust with the public.
In 2016, California, Nevada and Massachusetts voted to fully legalise marijuana. By 2020, the industry developed by these changemakers is projected to triple in value to more than $22bn.
